Best time to Skiing in Shimla
Skiing is a winter spot, and winter months start from December to February in Shimla. However, we can not point to the best month or time for this adventure. The best time was considered when snowfall covered most of the slopes in Kufri and Narkanda. Generally, 3 to 4-inch snow is required to start the activity.
How to Reach Shimla
By road
Take a bus or taxi from Chandigarh or Delhi directly to Shimla. Kufri is 13 km from Shimla and Narkanda is 60 km. These are the locations of skiing adventure. Booking a direct taxi is preferable to reach this destination. Well developed road is available to reach Shimla by road.
By Air
Book a direct flight to Jubbarhatti Airport. 23 km away from Shimla. If a direct flight is not available, you can book a flight to Chandigarh and get a taxi to Shimla.
By Train
You can reach Shimla by train by the UNESCO World Heritage Kalka Shimla Toy train. Reach Kalka from Chandigarh and Delhi and further connect with the Kalka Shimla Toy train to reach Shimla.
Itinerary of adventure
Day One -
Arrive in Shimla in the morning, check-in, and freshen up. After getting ready in the daytime, travel to Kufri, 13 km from Shimla. You can also book your hotel at Kufri only. Start your orientation with the instructor and check the fitting of the equipment. Enjoy and relax at the resort.
Day Two -
After breakfast, proceed to the skiing location; start your skiing lesson usually lasts 2 to 3 hours for the beginner; enjoy skiing and snowboarding, practice the moves and get your expertise; in the evening, enjoy a visit to the Himalayan National Park at Kufri.
Day Three -
After breakfast, expert skiers can enjoy the more advanced slopes and novices and learn more. You can also explore more winter activities in Kufri. Enjoy a full day with skiing adventure and winter sports.

Day Four -
Get back to Delhi/Chandigarh for the onward journey.
